Anyone who’s spent time with the Marvel or DC Comics apps will feel right at home with ComiXology’s Comics app. It’s exactly the same technology except that it features comics from all kinds of publishers plus ones from the big two.The app features a very slick and user-friendly interface that is easy to navigate and never buries any of its content out of sight. Just like the aforementioned apps, its best features are that it has a section dedicated to free comics, which is updated regularly and it uses ‘Guided View Technology’ to make the reading experience as pleasant as possible on the small screen.. Intelligently panning and zooming around the comic page, it’s a great solution to the problem of small-screen viewing.
The only slight niggle was that the app was occasionally prone to unexpected crashes, although we suspect that this was just a minor glitch that has since been eradicated by an update. A polished product for comic fans everywhere, this makes reading comics on the move a real pleasure. Highly recommended to everyone.
