Tablets have made life easier on many levels, especially within the driving fraternity. The amount of apps devoted to driving is immense. They include GPS programmes, helping you find the nearest petrol station, saving you money, checking that your new second-hand car doesn’t have a dodgy past and, most importantly, how to maintain it!
The iPad has a great reputation in the car world – especially the more upmarket models. You’ll find a lot of software support from a host of car manufacturers. There is also a lot of third-party support for iPad users. The apps that we feature here are the tip of the iceberg. While an app is no substitute for a licensed mechanic, they can make sure you never have to see one by helping you maintain and fix your motor.
